About Carl

Carl is an award-winning nature photographer based in Anchorage, Alaska. He has extensively photographed Alaska's scenery, wildlife, and lifestyle. He also travels to Hawaii, the American West, and other countries in the circumpolar Arctic. He sells prints online and at local fairs and shows, leads tours and workshops in Alaska, and provides a variety of photo services.

My Photography

I am not a specific type of photographer - wildlife, landscape, or whatever. I am a location photographer. I strive to understand and capture the essence of wherever I go. My greatest photographic passion lies in coming to fully understand a particular location, photographing all of its wonders, from small plants to vast landscapes, and increasingly the people who live with the land and call it home.
