Forests

The North American continent has a range of forests, from boreal to temperate rainforest. The diversity of trees and undergrowth provide infinitely diverse views of the forested landscape. My exploration of forests has included all seasons, as well as new growth from after a fire. In Alaska, we also have the tiny-but-ancient taiga forests and ghost forests, left behind from cataclysmic events like earthquakes and tsunamis. Enjoy this exploration of our planet's principal oxygen-generating factories.
